Another cookie-cutter hotel but the rooms were large and quiet. One of them stank of ciggie smoke but we were soon given a second one. Lots of grassy areas, safe from cars, to let loose any canine companions for a good run. Restaurant way overpriced but the Chinese and Indian nibble plates were pretty good. It was a bit like a place Alan Partridge would live in but the access is great from the A1(M) which was a welcome change from many poorly located establishments. Staff were friendly and helpful so no problems on that score. All-in-all to be recommended if you need a place to stay in the area.

service was good, room was a bit shabby, location good, very comfortable beds, parking bit of a nightmare on 1st day, 2nd day got phone call in room to move cars, as they were right outside, (but had no where else to park) moved cars, but in the morning the range rover s were still parked there

As we are originally from the Stevenage area but now live and work in Spain, we visit friends and family once or twice a year. We have chosen this hotel twice in a row due it's location just of the A1M. The rooms are clean and spacious and the bed is the softest ever. We do not use the restaurant facilities as weare constantly out visiting, but the menu does look good and good value for money. The only thing I would say is, the carpet throughout is stained but this would be due to the amount of human traffic it has during the year. Would we stay again, yes because of it's perfect location between Stevenage and Hatfield.
