Our party had two rooms for two nights.
Although it is not set in particularly pretty surroundings (just off the A14 in an out-of-town area surrounded by car showrooms), we appreciated the ease of getting to Ipswich, Felixstowe and ‘Constable Country’ from here by car.
As usual with Premier Inns, we couldn’t fault the rooms – They were exactly as we had requested (i.e. one made up as a twin), clean & well maintained, efficient temperature setting, good TV, and very comfortable beds. Décor is the same as at all Premier Inns.
We had booked early and got the advance purchase rate, so we felt it was excellent value for money.
The receptionists were very friendly and helpful - Cheerfully replenishing tea/coffee supplies, giving clear directions to a local store, and efficient when one of our party locked herself out of her room!
Parking was ample – except when the restaurant was busy in the early evening, when there might be a problem finding a space.
Breakfast was just OK, with the better part being the cooked option which was ordered and brought to the table.
We ate on one evening at the Brewer’s Fayre pub next door. It was very busy, but the staff were efficient and the quality of food good – and very inexpensive. (Not really the place for finding healthy menu options, though!)
We had been told this is a fairly new premier inn so as we thought the Room was clean&spacious. The bed was very comfy and a really good size. Bathroom was again a good size and clean with an excellent power shower. Our room was on the ground floor over looking the restaurant/pub and the large carpark but it was still fairly quiet however that could have been because it was a Sunday night we stayed. Reception staff appeared friendly and cheerful.
Didn't have the breakfast but had Sunday lunch at the adjoining pub which was ok but not the nicest quality food. Overall a very comfy and good value for money night away.
being a PI you know what your going to get. good rooms , friendly staff
breakfast was good and there was plenty of parking
hidden behind a car sales room it was pretty hard to find late at night as the signs are not obvious !
Excellent service. Front of house staff shane was superb provided great welcome and support for my disabled wife. Will use this hotel again
