We stayed at the Broadway hotel over new year, arriving on a coach trip for three nights. We could not fault anything, with a warm welcome good service etc. Staff and hotel owners very helpful, food v good in particular the breakfast. Now the but. Our bedroom was terrible. We were on the third floor, That was no problem, but it was freezing. The one radiator only seemed to come on for a couple of hours, just as it started to warm up, off it went. The so called towel heater in the bathroom, the only source of heat, didnt come on at all. This is a very old hotel and I think it had the original window frame as the cutains were blowing even with the windows shut. The plumbing system could not cope with the water going off a number of times, once in the middle of a shower. We had a 3/4 size bed and the smallest wardrobe ever.
We spoke to other people on the coach and ,in fairness, some people said their rooms were ok, but there were a lot who were dissatisfied. Some complained but as the hotel was full, there was no options.
