Having just returned from the esplanade on a 2 night break i would just like to say what an enjoyable weekend we had.
Stayed in room 112 on the first floor with an excellent view of the promenade in llandudno, the only problem we had with the room was the lack of hot water for the shower and bath, apart from that we had a really good time. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful and nothing was any trouble for them. The entertainment in the hotel of an evening was really good with an excellent duo on the friday night and a male vocalist on the saturday, the prices in the hotel bar were a little expensive.
We booked our break through lastminute.com as we got a better deal than when we enquired directly with the hotel.
Overall a very enjoyable weekend and hopefully will visit this hotel again.

After spending many times in Llandudo I decided a short visit was due. Never stayed here before but I must say I would return.
Although the bedroom was basic it was ok for an overnight stay. Only downside no hot water . Not sure if there are any better quality rooms as this was sufficient. The quality of food in the restaurant was very good and the staff superb.
The hotel position is really good with excellent views over the bay.
Good value for money.

If you are looking to step back in time to a world before customer service was invented then the esplanade is the hotel for you.
the mature lady on reception is clearly in the wrong profession as she produces a real look of disgust when you ask for the key to your room as it means she has to move two steps of her stool to get it for you.
the hotels a cheap place to stay in the centre of llandudno and if you enjoy cold showers then you'll love it evenmore.
the hotel could be good if it was given a lick of paint and a general spruce up as its in a great location on the main promenade.

I had to visit some customers in the north wales area and llandudno is always a good base. The company I work for booked the room and usually the do book the cheapest. Anyway I was really surprised to find that the hotel they had booked was in prime position on the seafront overlooking the pier. When I checked in the receptionist upgraded my room to sea views, Thanks!!

The breakfast was great, the best I've had for a while. Staff were all friendly. All this for £20.00
