“Fabulous Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

The Clontarf is a very stylish, comfortable hotel and the owners, Joni and Mark, are friendly, lovely hosts. Our room was perfect, it had all the amenities we could have wanted and was beautifully decorated just as the rest of the hotel was. The breakfast is yummy, and we were also very impressed with the delicious dinners we had there, at a very reasonable price for the high quality offered. We could not fault anything about this hotel and highly recommend it. We will definitely be returning in the future to this wonderful hotel. Keep up the great work!

“Small, but perfectly formed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

I hesitate to recommend this hotel because it's so good that next time I want to stay, It'll be fully booked! I booked for 2 nights having found it on the internet & certainly wasn't disappointed. I was given a very friendly welcome by Joni, one of the owners, who made me a coffee which was most welcome after a long drive in the rain & was then shown to a lovely, tastefully furnished & decorated room with a fabulous shower room & a huge very comfortable bed & everything was spotlessly clean. I had a meal in the restaurant on the first night & it was excellent & very good value.
The breakfasts are as good as any I have had anywhere with enough choice to suit everyone & beautifully cooked.
The thing though that makes this hotel exceptional is the great attention to detail & the really tasteful, good quality furnishings throughout - both the owners have been involved in sales & marketing & they certainly know how to produce a good product.

“Little Gem.”

Very nice hotel, we were offered tea / coffee on arrival. Beautiful room and very well equipped bathroom, no expense spared on toiletries etc. Bed very comfortable and a very wide choice of food available for breakfast. Hotel is very close to the beach and only a short walt to the shopping area.
Joni and Mark are excellent hosts and we would be very happy to return to this lovely hotel. Thanks for making our short stay so enjoyable.

“Stylish small hotel with relaxed and welcoming hosts.”

Just been to LLandudno to celebrate my godmother's 100th birthday and found this hotel via Trip Advisor. We cannot fault the hotel. Relaxed and friendly welcome, stylish modern decor and great food. Joni and Mark provide a high standard at a good price which I suspect some of the old hotels on the prom struggle to do because of high overheads and maintenance costs.

We booked dinner there because choices in town seemed limited and we were surprised by the quality and variety of the menu. I had a lovely salmon parfait starter followed by a melt in the mouth lamb shank in mint sauce and sticky toffee pudding to follow. All for less than I would have paid in town for the same quality.

Am confident to recommend this to fellow Trip Advisors!

“Excellent - a real gem”

I dont normally give feedback on hotels, but this place is a gem, we booked at the last minute, and only one room was left available which was a small double, the description was correct it was a small double but was truely lovely, we could not fault anything. Joni and Mark are excellent hosts, on arrival we were offered tea or coffee, but both me and my husband declined as we had just had just had a drink, we were taken by Mark to our room, and even Mark offered to carry my bag (I was 8 months pregnant - very thoughtful), Mark showed us some bits in the room. We felt so welcome, and have never received such good customer services as we did here. Breakfast was excellent - there was so much choose. I cannot speak high enough of this B&B, its a real gem, and would love to return Thanks to Mark and Joni for a lovely stay
