“A little Gem of a Hotel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We stayed here for 1 night as we were attending The Theatre. It is right next door so very conveninet with free parking. We upgraded to a deluxe room which we paid £63 for which was a good price. Dont think we would have paid the full price of around £130 though.

Its a traditional hotel without being old fashioned and drab as you find in a lot of these Victorian Hotels. It was beautifully fitted out with lovely furniture, wall papers, curtains light fittings. etc. The most comfy bed with lovely ben linen etc. Nice size bathroom and very clean throughout.

Lovely little extras like a bowl of sweets and fruit so you could help yourself in the hallway. Our room was lovely and airy with a front window overlooking the sea and a large side window which literally looked right into the Vendue Cymru restuarant but easy enough to close the curtains when you needed to. The staff was very attentive and lovely.

The good thing as well if only we had known the Leisure centre was right behind the hotel so especially if you have children you could take them to the swimming pool.
The breakfast in the morning was hot and tasty with plenty of tea /coffee/ toast whatever you wanted really plus they were serving breakfast up until 10.30.

Ideal hotel if you were coming to the theatre they even offered a service which they could book tickets for you and you would get a discount off. They even offered a pre theatre early supper which we did not take up on for 2 courses around £12.50 which seemed very good value.

A level walk into town along the prommenade was only some 10 mins leisurely walk away.

Glad we stayed here and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: Worth paying a bit more to get a front facing room.

“Overnight stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

My husband and I stayed overnight 14/1/2012,we visited the venue cymru theatre which is situated right next door this being the reason we chose this hotel. The hotel itself is a small 3 storey building with approx 20 rooms. Our room was small but compact, the beds were very comfortable.I agree with a previous reviewer about the lack of choice on the evening meal menu,we ate elsewhere.I must say that the food at breakfast was excellent, there was a mistake made with my husbands meal so it was removed and a fresh meal cooked. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we will stay there again. One plus is that you can book theatre tickets there and get a 10% discount.

Thank you for you recent review on Trip Advisor, i am please to see that on the whole you enjoyed your stay.

I have spoken to my staff about the comments you raised on the night with regards to the food, as such we will be implementing a couple of new procedures to avoid what we believe were the causes of your meal not be suitably hot enough by the time it reached your table.

It's only with guest feedback such as yours that we are able analyse and rectify our mistakes.

I look forward to welscoming you to the Cae Mor again

“Enjoyable stay with great sea view.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2011

We had a really comfortable stay at Cae Mor which is situated on the front in the centre of the bay. The bedroom and bathroom were large and the windows had great sea views. One of the advantages of the hotel is that it is next door to the excellent Venue Cymru which has really good shows and concerts. Ample parking. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Front rooms have sea views.
