“GOOD VALUE”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2011

having read some of the earlier reviews it can make one nervous but i have to say our stay was fine. this is a budget hotel so you should bear this in mind. we paid £52 per night b an b in a very roomy four poster.
room 2 had a double shower of goopd quality. bed was clean and comfy and nice duvet and pillows and new carpet, good tv and loads of room. , i have stayed in worse rooms at double the price.
breakfast wass simple with cereals and juice plus you could pick full english but if you talk to gill you can pick your choice. bacon good quality
no problem with room service but you have to put your service card on the door. i suspect that is why some reviewers didnt get their room serviced.
all in all a pleasant stay and no real complaint. good value for money.
what do people expect for £26 pp for heavens sake.

Room Tip: room 2 4 poster very nice

When we arrived we was asked if we wanted cooked breakfast for sunday my husband did but i said only wanted toast. There were no menus anywhere never saw any one around so monday morning i also asked for a breakfast was told i could not have one and was offered egg on toast the breakfast was paid for in the price so should of been available. The day we left as soon as we left the breakfast room we was asked if we was ready to leave and asked for the keys to the room this was 9.0.clock we felt we were rushed out.Was very disappointed

“PEASE DONT BOOK HERE!”

My partner and I are simple, polite folk (mid 30’s) who try to see the best in people and make the most from life. I did however find my principles and values tested in ways that really did push my boundaries. For a start the owners are rarely there, which is an inconvenience to say the least, especially if you need service (internet connection). Breakfast is really poor, it says on the sign outside, fruits and yogurts, scrambled eggs etc. none of this is available. They have a selection of 3 cereals contained in dirty tupperware, the cutlery; dishes and furniture are also dirty and greasy. I made the mistake of politely asking for brown toast and was looked upon like I was ordering caviar, I mean who doesn’t offer brown or white toast these days! In the rooms no toiletries could be found, only soap and no glasses to drink or rinse from. By far the worse is the parking, there is simply not enough room to park the guests cars; we had to wait twenty mins in order to park as we had to wait for other guests to leave. The owner reserves a nice spot for himself but alas doesnt extend this privilege to his guests. There are plenty of b and b 's that offer better service for less money, these people really don’t care so I see no reason why you should, do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. Good luck
