“Hospitable and COULD return...!”

1- Hotel; excellent position but dated with tired decor. The front steps and pathway were dirty, lawn untidy and there was litter there all week and not removed. The top step was very worn and jagged and in fact a lady had a bad fall on these steps while we were there. These need attention asap!
2- Good! A lift but so tiny and ancient, more like a rattling dumb-waiter! Room for 1 person, 2 if you really squeeze but a lift, nonetheless.
3- Friendly, polite hotel with genial manager, who took our luggage to our twin room,
4- Room no: 10. The beds were clean and comfortable with 2 flat pillows and cotton sheets.Extra coathangers needed! There were wonderful sea views but NOwhere to put anything. Just a console table would have been appreciated. Happily, there WAS 2 armchairs. Also, no socket near a mirror where you could dry your hair. No where to hang your damp coat after the showers. 3 or 4 hooks behind the door would be a good idea.
5- Shower room [good shower] but not cleaned well daily. Sink and under toilet lid were not cleaned. There was no shelf in the bathroom to put your toiletries on and had to balance them on the cistern.
May seem small things but very essential.
6- Sue the waitress was very efficient. Actually, worked her socks off and was still able to be cheerful and give you time. We had an evening meal 2 nights as there was a coach party in, who were served evening meals. Remaining 4 nights we ate out but were disappointed as the bar was not open in the evenings for a quiet nightcap.
7- They did open the breakfast room early for us, so we could depart on time, which was appreciated.
8- Would we stay there again? Yes! if the small negatives were to be addressed and only when we could have a sea view. Most of the issues I've raised would not be expensive and would make all the difference.
The stay overall was very pleasant and the coach party that was there were nice people.

Room Tip: Great sea-view from twin room Number 10

“No way a 4star hotel”

THis hotel was picked as a 4* but it is just a B and B needing updating. The entrance and steps were not a welcome sight...needed cleaning.
Having said that, the proprietor was very accommodating in giving us a choice of rooms on arrival.
The position was very good and with a bit of TLC this could be a very nice place to stay. There was no shampoo in ensuite.

“Perfectly good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2011

This is a hotel on the up. You can see from some of the slightly faded decor and occasional cigarette burn that it has been recently used for coach parties.

But they have discovered the internet and raised their game. We had room 3 at the bottom of the stairs and I was a little worried about the noise, but it wasn't an issue. The bathroom was new and clean. The main room was a good size and also clean, with a large wardrobe. At £68 a night, the double rooms are dangerously close in cost to the budget chains, but the single rooms at £34 are very good value.

The breakfast was a minimalist full english with cereal and toast - but enough, and good quality with very friendly staff who took pride in their work. The main proprietor was also very welcoming and friendly and made an effort to make our stay comfortable. We wished they'd had wifi and they should probably consider it for the more mass-market traveller.

So in summary, we had a good experience at this hotel - the building and people had character and we'd stay there again.

“Great Weekend - Personal Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2010

Just got back from a night in LLandudno. I booked a superior seaview as it was my partners birthday. The hotels were very busy for some reason and so i couldnt go with the usual hotels that i stay with. I chose the trevone as I have been to LLandudno many times and my partner has often commented on how lovely the Trevone looks from outside with lovely windows and curtains, so i thought i would suprise him!!!

The hotel was no disappointment. Right from when you arrive, it is a personal friendly service that makes you feel welcome. The gentleman on reception was very nice and helpful.

The room was totally gorgeous. Very spacious, lovely bedding, comfortable bed, modern TV and plently of items for making tea/coffee. Breakfast in the morning again was served by a very friendly and happy lady that couldnt do enough to make breakfast a pleasurable experience. I didnt actually have any breakfast but my partner said it was really tasty. Oh and you get a 'proper' pot of tea - not the miunte itsby-bitsy ones that only hold a mouthful which you get in most hotels!!!

Overall it was a great stay and i am glad I have found another great hotel in Llandudno as i will definately be staying again :)
