“the dogs bollox”

After staying in this "so called hotel" for just one night I then went home and washed myself with bleach!! Myself and my partner slept with our legs practically in the air because the bed slanted upwards. We felt a terrible draft during the night and thought we had left the window open...only to find the next morning that there were panes of glass missing from the window and bird poo on the remaining glass. The bathroom resembled a s**t tip (literally). Smelly pipes and a broken shower cubicle. the breakfast was...the dogs bollox. As we 'attempted' to eat this cheap food, music from the titanic was playing in the background- we would have preferred to have been on the titanic while it was sinking than in this [--] hole. Other than that- fantastic hotel....stay and experience the time of your life....if you make it out alive!!!

booked last minute on booking.com was told there was free parking but wasnt, paid £39 for one night got there and found it was cheaper to just walk in but the guy on the desk just was not interested and asked us to pay there and then.
OK the place was cheap but we were not expecting anything luxurious just a place to lay our head for the night.
I dont need to list everything that is wrong with this hotel just read the other reviews.
Breakfast was nice
"Thank god we only stayed one night!"

“Very Friendly -”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Stayed there weekend of Jan 27th, Made very welcome, very clean rooms and good shower ( room 102 ) Wonderful views and heating was on at all times so was noce and cosy.
Breakfast was great and you get a lot for what you pay for.
NOTE - Pay and display outside hotel ( which we where unaware of ) fined £50.00 for the sake of paying £1 parking so please be aware.
Over all Good hotel paid £12.50 per person per night so was very happy with value for money.

“PLEASE DONT STAY THERE!!!!”

Booked six rooms at the hotel just after Christmas so that I could take my whole family there to spend a weekend together before I head off to the USA for two months. With paying for the whole thing myself was looking for a budget hotel. Well, we did not expect to get anything special for the price, but the hotel was a mess & just FILTHY! We could not find the hotel at first even though it was right on the sea front, we had to phone the hotel twice, but the Asian guy on reception did not speak very good English at all so getting directions from him were very hard. We only found it beacuse he explained that the hotel was covered in scaffolding, which when booking we were not told about. There was no sign outside the hotel so how you would identify the place is at a loss to me. On walking on to the hotel front it was very messy strewn with rubbish & there were hundreds of used cigaret's butts everywhere & rusty old scaffolding in front of the building. The enterance door glass was filthy & the door battered & scratched, so we were feeling prety bad about our stay allready. Once inside the smell was not nice & there was a sign up saying that the hotel was under refurdishment, which again was not disclosed at time of booking. The Asian guy on reception was quiet rude & again his English was very bad & found it very hard to comunicate with him & even after the alloted time 3 of the rooms were not ready & we had to walk around the town for another 40 mins. When we finally got in the rooms they were all very dirty, shabby & just down right disgusting. Have travelled the world myself & stayed in 5 Star hotels as well as very cheap hotel & a $7 a night hotel I stayed in Mexico City made this plave look like the Ritz!! There were stains all over the carpet that was only hovered in the middle & all the corners had dirt in then & the fluff under the verey old stained bed was terriable. The chair in my room that looked to be from the 70s was very sticky with who only knows what & had all stains on an old cushion on there. The bathroom was dirty too & smelt really badly of stale urine!!! The advertised that there were tv in every room which there were but not one of the six rooms we had did any of the tv have a signal. They said there was wifi in public places & that did not excist either. When I tried to complaine to an other Asian guy he spoke back to me in a language that was not English & was either ignoring me or just did not speak English. Asked to speak to the manager to another guy & he said she would not be back until Monday & there was nothing he could do. We looked at trying to get another hotel at this point but there was nothing left at under £120 a room & that was just to much for 6 rooms. So we just went out for dinner & then decided to head back to the hotel bar for a drink which was a mistake, it was filthy with paint hanging from the celing with a dirty looking unused fish tank in thne corner & every time you wanted a drink you had to go & fetch someone from the kitchen if you could find them! The srvice, the hotel & the rude staff are just to much to belive & I belive the hotel should not even be open in this state!! PLEASE DONT STAY THERE!!!!

Room Tip: There are no good rooms from the six we had

We expected a low standard due to such a cheap price but all we were looking for was a place to sleep central to where we were visiting, what we got was a sea view, friendly staff, a really great cooked breakfast included in the price and we'll definately be back again.
