“A Great Pet Friendly B&B ........”

Stayed at this family run B&B for 2 nights last week. Received a very friendly welcome from the owners, with Cassie our dog being given some doggie treats and a big fuss on our arrival. The room was all you could ask for and more.... spotlessly clean with lovely furnishings. The breakfasts were just right with a good selection of cerials on offer prior to a great full English. The dining room was previously a Masonic Hall and is a lovely relaxing place to breakfast. We were able to leave Cassie in our room at breakfast times which we appreciated. We had an evening meal at The Queen Victoria pub located in the same road as The Chelsea. They are dog friendly, serving good food in a nice atmosphere. The Chelsea is ideally located for exploring Llandudno on foot. We were able to park outside the hotel on the opposite side of the road, and never used the car at all during our stay. The Chelsea also provides free wi-fi. An extremely pleasant stay and we look forward to returning in the future.

“Really enjoyed our stay”

Stayed as a party of 3...2 adults and 1 dog. We were made to feel very welcome....the dog got greeted before we did !!! And she got given biscuits !!! We only stayed for one night but found the hotel to be very peaceful and homely. The staff were very friendly and not too busy for a chat. The room was lovely...very light with great views. Fantastic shower with immediate hot water. Comfy beds too :) The breakfast was lovely..not too much, not too little. One of us had the veggie option which was very substantial. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely Jean!! The dog wasn't allowed in the dining room but was allowed to be left in our room which is unusual...having chatted with Jean realised there were other options if I was worried about leaving the dog on her own ( chewing furniture, barking etc) Just ask and a solution can be found. There was info about dog friendly pubs and restaurants nearby...we found 2 pubs within 2 mins walking distance that served decent food and the dog was welcome. Definately would return to the Chelsea :)

“Pets Not Welcome”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2011

The hotel was a disaster and nearly ruined our holiday, we were attracted to the hotel because it apparently welcomed pets and we had two small dogs, In fact in our opinion pets were not welcome at all and we eventually walked out. We have stayed in B&B's and hotels with our pets for many years without any problems at all. In fact the Chelsea is not a hotel but a B&B, it does not have Hotel facilities, bar, evening meal, residents lounge etc..and the landlady really should make it clear that pets are not welcome.

“Great location and friendly host....”

Hi, despite our child being ill and having to move things around, the Chelsea were fantastic in accomodating us. We knew the room wasnt the best they had but it had the most comfortable bed we had slept in a hotel for a very long time. The breakfast was fantastic, a good way to start the day. Couldnt have asked for a friendlier place to stay in a great location....
