“An excellent place to stay”

We stayed at The Cliffbury at the beginning of September for two nights. We travelled on a super fast Virgin train from London and caught the local connection to Llandudno. It's a short 10 minute walk from the station. It is located in a quiet residential area, 10 minute walk from the shops and south shore.

Gareth and Claire were happy to check us in a little early and show us to our room (number 2). We used their local knowledge of the best restaurants for three meals out during our stay which were all lovely (The Albert, The Seahorse, Fish Tram Chips).

The room itself was perfect, decorated in a modern and homely style with a view of the Great Orme. The bathroom was of an equally high standard with bath and shower. The flat screen TV comes with access to Gareth and Claire's large DVD collection. The rooms all have free wireless internet. The room was full of nice touches, from the box of essentials you may have forgotten to a tray to put your outdoor shoes in. We enjoyed the bottles of mineral water, biscuits, sweeties, tea and coffee replenished daily.

Gareth and Claire gave us a little form to fill in for the following days breakfast choices each day. A nice full English breakfast or any variations, yoghurt, cereals, juices and some of Claire's yummy welsh cakes.

In our long weekend stay, we visited the Great Orme, Conwy Castle, Llandudno shops and pier. Overall a very enjoyable weekend, we would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Check their website, everything you need to know is on there.

We spent two nights at the Cliffbury and it was fantastic - beautiful, clean room, delicious breakfasts and Gareth's local knowledge of places to go and where to eat was really helpful. We will be visiting again!

I have stayed here many times and it never ceases to impress me how much Gareth and Claire strive to make everything just right for their guests. When we visit Llandudno, staying here is really 'home from home'. Also, the breakfasts are ace! See you soon.

“How guest accommodation should be!”

I spent two nights at the Cliffbury following good reviews on Trip Advisor. I certainly wasn't disappointed. Gareth is the perfect host - attentive yet not overpowering. I didn't meet Claire, but experienced her excellent cooking at breakfast.
Attention to detail is everywhere. The whole property is squeaky clean and there are little extras other establishments don't offer, such as "a box of essentials" in which you'll find a spare toothbrush and paste, nail file etc.
There's one problem - they're getting so popular, I might not be able to book in there on my next visit to Llandudno!

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent, even the small twin I was in on the second floor.

“Excellent Find!”

We have just returned from a three night stay with Gareth and Claire and thoroughly enjoyed their hospitality. We stayed in room number 2 which was first class with a very spacious bathroom, lovely sitting area and fantastic view of the Great Orme. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the "special touches" such as mineral water, biscuits and sweets were provided on a daily basis. The breakfast was very nice and certainly set you up for the day. The location is ideal only a short walk to the centre and also the west shore which is our favourite spot is close to as well. We will certainly be returning here on our next visit to Lllandudno.
