“Dissapointing 4 star and breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

I like to write a fair review of what I found to be true and the word that comes to mind for me in a word is disappointing and I was surprised it is rated 4 star. I have included a view from the front bedroom window to show where this is located too. The front of hotel is appealing and inside they have some nice oriental ornaments and replica furniture dotted about the place which generally gives it a nice feel. On entering we were told breakfast is between 8.30 and 9.30. Fine, great but I was surprised to be asked exactly what time we would be coming in this 1 hour time slot???, so I asked if 9am was alright and he said it was. I was almost expecting to be asked what I wanted for breakfast too, but I wasn't (and actually wish I had been as it would of given him chance to go shopping!) In the morning although the menu states they do a fish option on a vegetarian option...on asking the gentleman for this he went away to check only to come back with no fish or no vegetarian choice. it may well be worth advising them well in advance if you have this dietary need or requirement, although hamborne food hall and deli do a delicious breakfast and it is just a few minutes walk away. Overall it is fairly clean though I didn't really appreciate finding a used can of someone elses shaving gel next to toilet and large dusty cobwebs on ceiling. I wondered why was there a large plastic fan in room in middle of winter? Cheap large plastic kettle was hard to fill under sink tap. No other drinks except cheap tea, coffee and uht milk, no sign of a biscuit or hot chocolate sachet, and large cheaper end east of eden shower gel and shampoo only toiletries on offer. I did expect a little bit more for a 4 star and although my review is not meant to put anyone off from visiting, I personally would not return or recommend this place

“A warm friendly welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

Stayed at the Clovelly with my husband in October. The owner made us very welcome, the room was lovely and the breakfast will set you up for the day! Lots of places to eat nearby, close to shops pier and Great Orme. Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: We had a room at the front, which have a nice outlook towards the Great Orme, the ones at the back w...

“Pleasent B and B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

Stayed at the Clovelly in April this year. This was my first experience of staying at a B and B and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was decorated tastefully, tea and coffee available, clean bathroom and room. The owners were friendly and the breakfast was spot on. The location excellent and parking available. Loved my weeks stay at the clovelly and would definitely return.

“Great hotel..beware of the cctv in the lounge your being watched!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011

We recently stayed at the clovelly and found it spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The rooms could not be faulted although the family room we had was a bit on the small size and right on the top floor. The breakfast was really good and the gentleman serving in the mornings could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Given lots of help on arrival but none when we left. Not nice having cctv in the lounge and felt we were being watched all the time..which we were!!! They assured us kids would be welcome but I think they would rather not have them there.

Room Tip: front rooms have a nice view, views from the back are a biy grim.
