Having read previous wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor, we booked a three night mini break at St.Hilary's in the lovely seaside resort of Llandudno - and we really enjoyed our stay.
We were warmly welcomed by Howard, who not only showed us to our room, offering to carrry our cases, but also shared lots of useful information about the best local restaurants for a family evening meal.
Our excellent room was certainly pristine - it looked like we were the very first to stay there! It was spotlessly clean, bright and very nicely furnished. There was an ample supply of top of the range teas, coffee and hot chocolate, plus biscuits and chocolates and bottled water...great! The double bed and single bed were really comfortable, just right for a fine night's sleep.
Breakfast was super, plently of fruit juice available - cereals, fruit and yogurt - and an excellent, freshly cooked. locally sourced selection of eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes plus fried bread, hash browns, toast and preserves - yummy !!! Ann Marie is a great hostess - caring and thoughtful, in an inobtrusive, professional manner
The shared areas of St Hilary's are bright, comfortable and very welcoming.
Located at the quiet end of the bay (Craig-y-Don) where parking is free and ample - we had no trouble finding a roadside spot adjacent to St.Hilary's. We could therefore travel around by car, yet always return to park nearby.
And the view from the bay window of our room certainly had a "WOW" factor. It was just so beautiful! There were two very well designed, easy chairs so that you could relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery - and a telescope so you could get up close to the Pier, the Great and Little Orme and the ships out on the horizon.
So to Howard and Ann Marie - thanks for welcoming us to your OUTSTANDING guest house - our son Callum said thanks for the mints (I hope he didn't eat too many !!). He also enjoyed the free WiFi facility for his lap top.
Hopefully we will be able to book Room 5 again next year.
