“Home from home B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

Headlands is a true home form home B&B, it is super clean, friendly with delightfull rooms with views to die for accross the bay! After a full day exploring and runnung up and down the beach with the dog we were welcomed back with a hot drink and a comfy chair to relax in! Ray gave us some great tips on walks and 'Dog friendly' pubs etc which we took full advantage of! We had a fantastic nights sleep followed by a delicious breakfast (best bacon in Llandudno) I would highly recommend this hotel and it definately got a 5 paw standard from our Max!

Room Tip: Room 33 is stunning with a single bed and double bed on split levels

“Blissful”

This is a wonderful, family-run, home away from home with views to die for (and well worth the climb up a rather steep hill if you are walking). It is warm, friendly, clean, extremely comfortable, with delightful homely touches, and respectful of its heritage without being in the least starchy about it. From the jigsaw and books in the sunny conservatory to the comfy sofas in the guest lounge, delicious home-cooked food and well-stocked bar, you could just stay put and veg out (but there is heaps to see and do out and about). We stayed in half a dozen B&Bs and small hotels in the UK this trip but this was by far the standout. It was so good we went back again at the end of our trip! And if you are a dog lover, so much the better! We don't own one so it was lovely to make some doggy friends.

“Great people, great view, great hotel!”

What a lovely hotel! The rooms were tastefully decorated with period furniture and made you feel so cozy and comfortable. I was lucky enough to have a sea view room and boy what a view! The hotel is perched on the hill overlooking the beach and the town and I found myself just sitting in the chair looking out on the town. The owners were so welcoming it made me wish I was staying longer!

“More like Coming to Stay with Old Friends”

We have stayed at the hotel for a number of years now. The hotel is a Listed building, they have done the rooms each with style & modern clean feel to them, you look forward to coming down to having your meals for the company & the food is very good(and they cater for all types of people).
Yes. The Hotel is Dog Friendly, we do not own a dog, but we like it that way, and meeting the dogs that come to the hotel.
The Bar is always stocked with local drinks. Some Rooms have Great Views, but just go out of the hotel & across the road and look around that view is........
If there is a Event on in Llandudno they welcome it & help you make the most of it.

“Owner Not Listening”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

We've stayed with Ray for many years now, we are a non dog owning couple, we have found the rooms often not cleaned enough , properly or to the level you would expect at home, unfortunately we wont be staying again and think the hotel is best suited to dog owners who don't care about not having enough toilet roll or having the room cleaned properly.

It's pricey for the level of service and although we've tried to suggest to Ray how to improve to attract people who will pay the higher prices this over the years has fallen on deaf ears. If we do go to llandudno again (as we normally do once or twice a year) It will be somewhere cleaner.

It's pot luck if you get modern decor or not, yes the views are great but, I came home feeling the need to shower afterwards. Its not comfortable.

Room Tip: Second First floor front rooms seem to be the cleanest.
