HI
This is our third visit to the Imperial Hotel; I am really am scratching my head to find something to complain about.( which s you will see from my reviews of other hotels is not like me)
This time we had a short break in a family suite. The room consisted of a large double bed and an attached room with two single.
We took our granddaughter and she was overjoyed to see that she had her own TV and was able to use her I pad on the in house WI Fi.
The room as usual was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished, my wife and granddaughter made good use of the swimming pool, I enjoyed the lovely see views.
The breakfast and the service were firs class as usual.
I think probably the best accolade I can give for this hotel is that we have decided to come back again to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday in JUly.
Highly recommended.
Peter

Room Tip: Pay the extra and get a sea view, the rooms themselves are all of equal high quality but the view it...

The welcome by Harriet, on reception, was everything one could wish for. Bright and cheerful, warm and welcoming. First impression set us up for the rest of our stay....which did not disappoint. Lovely room with sea view, all the facilities one would expect of a four star hotel. Large bed, lovely linen and a good shower....not much else needed really! Oh yes of course there is, we dined in the restaurant, and our only disappointment was that the ALC menu is not available on a Sunday night....can't really blame the Imperial for that now, can I? The food was good and reasonably priced but what shone out for me were the staff....everyone was so friendly and courteous......and the lovely lady behind the bar recommended the Welsh malt whisky. She was right to.....sweet and smokey.

I would definitely recommend the Imperial for a stay in Llandudno. Thank you Harriet.

Room Tip: We stayed in 308. Good room.

“Lovely hotel in a wonderful location”

I attended a seminar in Llandudno Junction, for work on 1st February and living in Cardiff, it's easier to travel up the afternoon before and stay over. The hotel was very quiet at this time of year, but there was no sign of boredom etc from any of the staff; they were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself has obviously been well maintained - the decor is in keeping with the original period of the building and all the common areas were comfortable. My room was a decent size with a comfortable double bed and great facilities (including a robe and slippers, something I tend to expect in 5* hotels, not 4* - the little things can make all the difference!). The bathroom was clean and the shower was excellent. My colleague and I had an excellent meal in Chantray restaurant (be warned though, it is an a la carte menu so pricey) and the wine recommended by our waitress was also excellent. Due to the small number of guests, we sat in the terrace part of the restaurant, overlooking the sea front which was lovely, and we were able to appreciate it even more the following morning, over breakfast (also very good). I didn't get chance to sample the leisure facilities, but can only imagine that they would also be to a high standard. All in all, a short but very enjoyable stay and I have already recommended this hotel to my parents as they occasionally have overnight trips to Llandudno to visit the theatre there.

“Fabulous Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

This is a fabulous Hotel and we have stayed here for short breaks for nearly 20 years. Wonderful facilities and location.
Although our recent stay was marred by the lack of engagement by the staff, at Reception, Bar Restaurant etc,
With the exception of Josh on the Reception there was no ‘smile, speak and serve’ greeting from the staff. Felt we had a warmer response at check out than on arrival and during our stay.
Telephoned the General Manger later that day who sounded like he listened to my observations.
Would highly recommend this Hotel and if the customer service could be brushed up, you will have a lovely stay.

“Excellent sea view room”

Room 420 Corner location 2 windows, one front, one side.
Spent 13/01 and 14/01 nights at the Imperial. Beautifully decorated room made you instantly feel at home. Breakfast was up to its usually high standard. Didn't sample the evening meals or lunch as there are better places in town. We had lunch at the Cocoa House and dinner at Valentinos (Italian) both we can't recommend too highly. The only negative thing to mention was the extremely high night time temperatures, despite windows being open and the radiators being turned off. However the views from the room. Spa was up to its usual high standards. Hard to think I first visited this hotel 21 years ago!
