“Cute and friendly B&B in Eastbourne”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

My partner and I stayed at St Omer during the new year and we were made to feel so welcome by David the owner. He is a real english gentleman and was helpful and attentive during our stay. Our room was clean, comfortable and had a wonderful view of the sea as requested. Our breakfast was hearty, tasty and very filling (especially the hand made sausages!) and I would recommend this hotel to you all!

“Delightful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

My two girlfriends and I ended up staying at this lovely B&B after walking out in disgust from another Hotel along the seafront. We all 3 can't thank David the owner enough, he was extremely welcoming helpful and very knowledgeable of the local area, he was able to recommend some very nice places to go and eat. The cooked breakfast was lovely, with a good selection of cereals fruit etc. Our room was spotlessly clean as was the dining room! We had the most beautiful views of the sea! As I said we found this delightful B&B by chance, but we have already planned to return early next year! And would highly recommend St Omer to all our friends and family!

Room Tip: A sea view

“A little gem at Eastbourne”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2011

My wife and I stayed for three days at the St.Omer Guest House in Eastbourne from Monday, 19th September, 2011.
This was a gem of a place - should really keep it to ourselves - but that would deny the praise which is due to David the owner.
Hearty welcome, spotlessly clean accommodation and a full top quality English breakfast.
We requested a quiet room and got it and a friend who accompanied us was given a delightful sea view single.
In addition to this, Eastbourne is a most acceptable resort with lots of features.
David Pagdin, Sheffield.

Room Tip: Just discuss your requirements with the owner for an honest description.

“Lovely family friendly B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2011

We ended up staying here due to a problem with our booking at the best western next door. The room we were given was right at the top of a lot of stairs but the view from the window directly out over the sea was fantastic. The room was clean with a separate area containing bunk beds for the children and a lovely swinging crib was provided for our little baby boy.
David the owner was very pleasant and full of advice on things to see and do locally. The breakfast was all locally sourced with fresh from the farm eggs and locally made sausages!!
As we were transferred here I can't comment on the room rates but we had a lovely stay and would return again.

“much nicer places to stay for the same money or less”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 April 2011

I came to stay at the bed & breakfast with my girlfriend. We were greeted by a friendly owner who has a lot of local knowledge. We were taken up to our room which was very high up and too many stairs to go up on our relaxing weekend.
When we finally got up to our room we discovered it was a very small room which was badly decorated. One of the bedside lamps was not working nor did the dvd player. Also the freeview kept switching itself off. The bed linen smelt bad (like it had been left damp too long before being dried) and there weren't enough teabags or biscuits. However, we were reluctant to go all the way back downstairs to complain.
There was an ensuite which was so small and the shower had mould in it as well as dirty tiles. The room rate was too high for the quality and we only paid without comment because we had only booked one night. The breakfast was good quality and well cooked. However, if you re a non-meat eater there are no substitutes given to replace bacon and sausages. Definitely would not stay here again.
