Stayed for one night when visiting the Eastbourne Beer Festival at the Winter Gardens. Very pleasant, if slightly quirky room in the loft. Very spacious with a large bed, we got a great nights sleep ( nothing to do with the beer ) followed by a a superb breakfast, all freshly cooked, will definately stay here again if visiting Eastbourne.

This is an exceptionally good hotel in Eastbourne, having tried out the majority of the others over a 2 year period i was working on the Birley Centre for Eastbourne college.
The staff are all very friendly and always helpful, the rooms are spacious well furnished and well kept. The food was very good and always fresh, the breakfast where the best with a good variey. The best thing about the hotel is its very relaxed atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble.
The Hotel is a short walk from the centre of town and the location is ideal for the winter gardens and Congress Theatre, the sea front is about 500 yards from the Hotel door.

Work has taken me elsewhere, but will definitley stay at the Devonshire the next time I am in Eastbourne.

We stayed here for two nights whilst attending a Rotary conference at the Winter Gardens. Hotel is ideally positioned for walking to the sea front- 4 mins and also for the Winter Gardens and Congress Theatre and Devonshire Park which are literally just over the road. Shopping centre is approx 10 mins. Our room was a good size and we liked having the DAB radio with the Ipod facility- great touch. The bathroom had a good sized shower cubicle however the shower lacks the power that a hotel of this quality should be providing. The staff in all areas are excellent and only too willing to help. There are a number of lounges to relax in plus a bar. The breakfast buffet is well stocked with cereals and fruit etc. There is a choice of full English served to you plus options for fish or various egg options including smoked salmon. All well cooked and presented.

Devonshire Park is a comfortable, traditional English hotel. The food is very good and staff attentive yet not intrusive. There are three public rooms tastefully furnished. Bedrooms are clean and fresh and serviced daily. The hotel is close to the seafront and in a most excellent position for the Eastbourne theatres. A walk to the main shopping area and to the railway station would take approx ten minutes.
This is my second time at this hotel and would return should I visit this area in the future. Room 5 is quiet and front facing on ground floor.
