A warm and friendly welcome is always given by Colin and Rosalind at Ivydene in Eastbourne, the rooms are clean, new showers in most of them now and weare alway happy to stay. food is to an excellent standard and Colin played a Happy Birthday to one of his guests at morning breakfast.
The flower baskets are always fresh winter and summer alike and the frontage is always clean.

The accommodation was of a good standard but the main asset of this establishment are the owners, friendly, helpful and patient this makes for a very easy place to take a family.

Excellent place to stop in and feel at home. All requests were met and Ros & Colin always had something more to offer. Thank you! As a solo traveller I found Ivydene very accomodating. I especially liked how much effort was made to ensure I was happy. The food was great and evident that much time and thought was involved. I would highly recommend and will definately return when visiting Eastbourne again.

On arrival the greeting was as warm as before with a nice cup of tea. Strange enough we actually has the same room as last time and were impressed to see they have been busy in the last year or so with Improvements. The old tin shower cubical was gone and a fresh modern unit in its place, also the TV's have been changed and now have an flat screen tv's with free view. Also the beds had been replaced with new matrices (according to the owners).

We came back to Ivydene after a good first stay and because it is well situated for getting into the town, down to the pier and also because there is unrestricted on street parking immediately outside the door (a big plus in Eastbourne). Would definitely use again on our next trip.
