twenty one of us spent a week end at heatherleigh hotel last week and had great time. rooms were clean and warm. food was good especially the breakfast. had good ole sing

I booked through Travelstyle, Now I know most of their trips are you get what you pay for but I wouldn't go to this hotel again if it was given free. I think my room must have been on par with the other reviews because it was dank, damp, cold smelly, odd fitting curtains, no sink in the toilet/shower room it was by the bed, and it was so dirty everywhere, my bed felt like it was a put u up with a mattress to big for it so if I went to the edge of the bed I fell off. Staff were pleasant enough but looked like they could do with a change of clothes and one needed a belt to hold his trousers up as they actually slipped to his knees at one point, or is this the young fashion? They also spent most of their time on the hotel entrance porch smoking then coming in to serve food and drinks without washing their hands. the evening food was basically very low acceptable but contains small hairs,(cat Or pubic?) the waiter had his thumb in all dishes delivered to the table, NOW! breakfast (full engish)was good it was cooked well, it was hot and it was tasty. NO HEATING EVEN THOUGH IT WAS -1. I had to put my coat on the bed for warmth, they had given out all the fan heaters to other customers.

So looking forward to a weekend break booked through Travelstyle. It was dark on arrival so unable to tell what the outside of the building was like. After receiving our key to our room both my friend and I were horrified on entering the room to discover it was VERY SMELLY and DIRTY. The Net curtain was so BLACK it was difficult to see out of the window. After complaining we were given another room which was slightly better. At least there was a shower. The all Male staff were all dressed in dirty red t-shirts and jogging pants (they looked as if they had just come from working on a car wash) . Evening Meal was appauling. Breakfast was no better. So bad unable to eat anything during our stay. (If what the customer is presented with is disgusting I DREAD to think what the KITCHEN must be like. Enviromental Health need to investigate. Couldn't wait to leave. Definately the Hotel from Hell and should be avoided at all costs. The company we travelled with TRAVELSTYE certainly need to listen to the many complaints and STOP using this hotel. PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! BEWARE.

My friend and i had booked a well deserved break with TRAVELSTYLE and this is what we got on arrival,a once fabulous building so badly run down,the state of the rooms were appalling,tired dated with peeling wallpaper,filthy carpets and bedding and if you were lucky (i use this word loosely) enough to have a shower as opposed to a rubber contraption in a very old rusty bath, was somewhat basic and could do with a deep clean,no luxuries like shower gel or shampoo just a slither of soap some of which had beed used by a previous victim sorry occupant,no hairdryer and just one towel.
The dining room was also tired and dated as was the state of the crockery and cutlery also stained and dirty,when it came to the waiter again i use this word loosely because he looked like he would be more at home in the local car wash and by the state of his clothes and hands he had probably just left there one guy even had a leather jacket on serving food,i asked what type of fish it was only to be told"white" i tried to ask again white type but he then had to go and ask the chef as he didn't understand,when the meal arrived it was cold the fish was frozen and i guess defrosted and served the veg was no better,breakfast consisted of cold toast cold tea and cold full english.i could go on about this hotel but if you still wanted to stay here read the rest of the reviews.Just a thought to end this SHAME ON YOU TRAVELSTYLE FOR STILL USING THIS HOTEL DESPITE ALL THE COMPLAINTS SINCE 2009 AND YET YOUR STILL TAKING PEOPLES HARD EARNED CASH IS SHOCKING
