“Very convenient for attending funeral at Eastbourne Crematorium”

This appears to be the closest hotel to Eastbourne Crematorium. I recently attended a funeral there and was not familiar with the area, having travelled several hundred miles to attend the event, having travelled from the Scottish Highlands. The hotel was clean, the staff were great. I did not eat there as I arrived late at night and did not take breakfast so cannot comment on the food. I managed to get the £19.99 saver deal on the sunday night so it was excellent value for money. The hotel web pages could benefit from more detailed public transport information as I got there from Eastbourne Rail Station. The bus stops are nearby, I've recommended the hotel gets details of the services so people can use the frequent and reasonably priced service (£1.90 one way but probably cheaper return tickets are available) and the 1A and loop buses took only 15 minutes to get me there from the town centre. There is also a number 56 service that takes you to the Eastbourne Crematorium but it might be better to book a taxi, if you were uncertain and I am not sure it is so frequent. The staff offered to print me off some internet details which was kind. I did not have a laptop with me and I don't know whether the wifi is free or chargeable. This hotel is also very convenient for visiting the District General Hospital so for these reasons I'd recommend this hotel and its location.

Room Tip: Avoid being near the lift as it made a really loud doorbell noise when it arrived at the floor which...

“Faultless !”

Just spent a weekend in Eastbourne. We were going to stay in one of the sea facing hotels but after a bit of research they all seemed dated. We have got used to modern hotels so decided on the Premier Inn. Booked online and as it was short notice paid £80 for a double room with breakfast. Not cheap but as we found out worth every penny. Our arrival was first class - greeted by a very friendly receptionist who really seemed interested (American hotel receptionists take note !!). Our room was perfect, could not fault it. The bed and pillows were excellent. We had one of our best nights sleep in a hotel room for ages. Breakfast the next day was in a 'pub' next door - again excellent - eat as much as you want - excellent service and food. This was our first time at a Premier Inn and from now on we will be looking for them to stay in. Previously have stayed at Travelodges. There is simply no comparison !

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be the same - excellent !

“Excellent Service”

We stayed here for a wedding earlier this year. We were quite a large party and booked 4 rooms. The reception staff could not do enough to make us feel most welcome. We had 5 children in our party and I have to say the patience the staff showed to them was amazing. As part of the service, they even managed to get us a needle and thread to do a quick repair on a missing button!

The rooms were lovely and well equiped and the adjoinging restaurant made the stay very enjoyable. Its a little way outside of Eastbourne, but suited us well for the wedding and teh reception.

I woudl recommend this hotel without reservation
