Another great week end made all the better by he hotel staff

I arrived late on a mid February 2011 evening on a low price internet booking. A coach party had cancelled due to the weather, so I was the only guest in the hotel! The room was warm and clean with a reasonably good shower. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. They also cooked me a very early breakfast the next morning. I enjoyed my stay and it was a good experience.

Part of a coach trip,and this turned out to be the best one we've been on EVER,and we've travelled extensively in the UK. Yes some parts of the hotel need a freshen up but this I understand is in hand. Our room was very clean and more than adequate. We were more than impressed with the food and the evening meals were VERY impressive. The homemade soups were to die for and the fish and chips the best I've ever had. All the staff were brilliant and nothing too much trouble. We will definately be returning to this gem,we had a great time. Thanks Folks

We were booked into this hotel as a wedding present from my sister,when we got inside we were met by a guy who i think was the owner, after being left stood there for about 5 minutes he asked if we were booking in when we got to our room we were horrified!!! It was obvious the room hadnt been cleaned since the last unlucky guests had left even the bed clothes were grubby!!!! The toilet was in the bedroom as was the sink,the shower was what appeared to be an old wardrobe!!!When my husband told the owner it was not up to standard he was told thats tough ive took your money and you wont get a refund,i find it hard to believe a hotel can get away with this kind of service and we are contacting tradeing standards
