We booked three rooms for three nights at Bay Lodge for the Bank Holiday weekend, and we all really enjoyed it.

Everywhere was clean, the owners were friendly and helpful, the rooms were more than adequate and the breakfasts were really enjoyable and of a good size. There were good toiletries available in the room, and also bottled water and sweets, which was a nice extra touch, for a relatively low end priced room.

There is a small honesty bar and lounge which looks over towards the sea, and there is free wi-fi in the downstairs area, which was very useful during the stay.

Hope to stay again.

Stayed for two nights and had a very pleasant time. Welcomed on arrival and shown to our large clean double room. Was able to look at the view out to see while reading in room leaflets about what to do in the area. Only draw back of room was no stand in shower in ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was good, full english plus the usual cereal, fruit, yoghurt. Owners were very helpful when anything was needed and another bonus is car parking round the back. Short walk to the pier and all main attractions. Would definitely stay again.

As others have commented, everything was immaculately clean. We were in room 8 and I stupidly kept banging my head on the beams despite the warning signs! Huge bathroom. Rear facing and had a view of hills in the distance. Woken by revellers in the early hours of the morning and a dog barking. Stairs quite steep and narrow so may be an issue for some but fine for us. Wifi didn't work in our room.

Very handy for prom and sea front.

Breakfast times could possibly be extended - we went down at around 9:00 but felt this was still a little early for a Sunday morning. (8:30-9:15) Quality of breakfast was fine, as others have said, fresh fruit available and I had my porridge cooked as I like it!

We had the top room with sea view. Room was lovely, well decorated and spotlessly clean. My only moan would be the pillows being rather hard. Breakfast was splendid, and host was very friendly and welcoming. We would definatly return (although would bring my own pillow).
