Booked a last minute escape to the coast and came across this highly recommended hotel. Ideal location, close proximity to the station and shopping centre. I had a single room, which was ideal for my needs, clean and comfortable. Breakfast choice was great with a large selection of foods to suit every taste. Would definitely book again.

“Lovely, friendly and enjoyable second visit to The Mowbray.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

My wife and I made our second visit to The Mowbray in January 2012.

We enjoyed the excellent friendly service as much as our first time. We really cannot fault this place.

Our room (number 14) was fantastic. A huge comfy king size bed, big shower and spotless room greeted us. The owner Darren is such a congenial and helpful man and really makes you feel at home.

The breakfasts are great and served in pleasant surroundings by polite and attentive staff. Real quality grub freshly cooked with plenty to choose from on the menu.

The whole place has a relaxing and warm atmosphere to it. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again and would recommend this B&B/hotel to anyone.

“Perfect stay, perfect location, perfect hotel, a must for all”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

A stay in Eastbourne can only be heighten if you base yourself somewhere that caters for all your needs. You will not be dissatisfied with your stay if the Mowbray has its way. Thanks go to Darren who is there with advice on where to eat, where to visit and also a spare DVD player, when the one in our room didnt work. Breakfast was delicious and soooo much choice you have to be really fussy, not to be satisfied. The standard of our room and the cleanliness was second to none, our Double Superior bed was to die for and once in, we struggled to leave the comfort of our room. I organised a surprise for my partner of choc strawberries and bubbly, Darrens efforts to make it all happen, were gratefully appreciated. We will be returning sometime this year, my mother has already booked on our recommendations, she and anyone else who stays wont be disappointed. Well done Darren, you and your team should be very proud. Karen & Sam

“Perfect stay at the seaside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2011

It was everything we needed and more. Location was great, the room was lovely (superior room) and finished to a really high standard with extra touches like the bathrobes, slippers and fruit basket. They gave us a parking permit for our stay which was a nice surprise. Really friendly manager who went out of his way to help us with a map and some ideas for where to go for dinner (giving us a discount voucher for a great restaurant). The breakfast was really good with a great selection but a little bit of a rush as checkout was 11.00am. All in all, perfect stay and would definitely recommend it.
