Park Inn Radisson Stavanger is a hotel divided in two parts, the old and the new wings. If you want a suite, stick to the old wing. If you want an ordinary room, preffere the new wing if you get the choise.
The kitchen is not what it used to be but they still serve good food.
Located a 15 minutes walk from city centre.

Buget-priced hotels are hard to find in Stavanger and this still cost the equivalent of £160 per night including buffet breakfast. Its rather dated (built in the 1950's and the reception carpet looks like it hasn't been cleaned since then) and the rooms are small with poor quality furnishings and antiquated showers. Somewhat like a hostel rather than a hotel. Reception staff on arrival were inefficient and also failed to book the taxi I requested for the morning. Not terrible by any means, but not good value for money either.

Its a 15 min walk to town but on regular bus route. A bit dated, but ok. Has free parking. Breakfast ok. Rooms ok. Good to stay in with kids as they have family rooms.

Despite some bad reviews nad being afraid after readinh them the hotel is not bad at all.
Quick check in (even at 11 PM on a Sunday), nice breakfast, well positioned (15 minutes walking from downtown) and people are really nice and willing to help.
I would even go for 4, but as they're under some refurbishment let's wait until it's done!
