This Radisson did not live up to expectations. As others have commented, it is beginning to show its age and could do with a little modernisation but that was not the biggest issue. The main concern is the size of the rooms - absolutely tiny. It is almost as if they have taken a standard room, cut it in half, and made 2 rooms. There is barely enough room to get dressed in the morning. On the plus side there was a note on the bed saying that it was brand new, I don't know how long they leave these on for and if I really was the first to sleep in it, but it was very comfortable. Room also has free wifi with a good login system of room number and user name so no need to keep getting a new access code each day like some places. Other room furniture was a bit tired, and the tea/coffee facilities were a bit meagre - 1 tea bag.
Breakfast buffet had a huge choice and good quality and the service here was also good. However I had a Workshop here and the lunchtime food and service were not the best. Conference rooms are dated as well, still with old fashioned desk top projectors.
The hotel is nicely positioned by the lake and very close to the town centre, however there is another Radisson just up the road that I stayed in a several years ago and remember being a lot better than this one so that would be my choice of the 2 for any future stay.
