We stayed one night at Amalie's Guesthouse, but wished we had stayed longer. There are 2 flats -- one with 2 double bedrooms that share a large bathroom and kitchen/dining/living area. In this flat, the bedrooms have separate keys, and this is the one I stayed in (600kn/2 people). The other I believe rents as a 2-bedroom flat.
Our apartment was truely lovely -- fully modern and fresh and clean and spacious. Fully fitted kitchen and really large bathroom, with laundry facilities. This would be great for a longer stay -- they have thought of everything here! And even for a shorter stay, having a kitchen is pretty handy with the food in Norway pretty pricey.
The house is set up on the hill in the beautiful, historic part of the city centre. The winding streets with brightly-painted houses are charming! Marielle, who met us at the door, was also warm and kind and helpful. Really loved this place -- will look to go back!
But do be warned that the walk up to the house may not be appropriate for those with difficulty walking uphill and/or loads of luggage.
