At first, I was a little surprised, walking into the dormitory room which was under 'renovation' and looked a little like a stage set for a horror movie or something. However, for the very low price, I suppose that makes sense. The other dorm rooms seemed to be a little better after the renovation, but still a lot of beds fit into one large room.
Regardless, the service was great, especially if you're a student as well, they are always friendly, helpful, and talkative (and have many interesting stories to tell). The food is cheap, and great, at only 50kr you dont get better value for a dinner in Norway. The interrail centre is east to get to from the airport via bus, open 24 hours, a simple walk across the bridge (great view) to the cathedral and then the city centre, about 10-15 minutes away. Overall, it's cheap, good value for money, great service, though the rooms left a little to be desired. Perfect for the budget traveler!
