The Scandic Residence is located right in the heart of Trondheim. It is a great location, just 15 minute walk from the train station and 5 minutes from the historic cathedral.

The hotel has rooms over 5 floors, we had a large room at the back of the hotel. Whilst this room was quieter the view over the carpark was not really inspiring.

The hotel is in need of modernisation. The decor is incredibly dated. The room was a good size and had all the comforts we needed. Everything is clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Tea, coffee and patries are available 24hrs a dat in reception where you will also find a pc for internet access (but there is also free wi-fi). Breakfast was exceleent, a really good choice of hold and cold items, fresh bread, fruit and yoghurts. Make sure you fill up for the day as eating out in Norway is VERY expensive!

Reception staff were really helpful. We had a really pleasant 2 night stay in this hotel and would definitely return. Despite the fact that the hotel is dated, the location and price make it a really attractive proposition in expensive Norway.
