I am a norwegian, travelling with a couple of my friends, got two rooms in the 500 rooms, (think this is the old part) anyways, It was so bad air there that I almost got a little bit claustrofobic when i was going to sleep, It felt like it was no fresh air at all, and it is not possible to open any windows or anything like that... It was the same in the room my two other friends had!
Not so nice compared to the price we paid for our night there.

With it's new hotel entrance and location in the heart of the city you have walking distance too everything. Don't miss the fishmarket when you visit the city.

This hotel is basic, with very small rooms, but company paid, so had to stay!
We arrived after train journey from Stavanger....then could not shower as there was a soccer team in the hotel, who had used all the hot water....I have never heard anything like this before!
There was guys walking drunk around the corridors, then they set off the fire alarm...were they removed from the hotel...NO!!!!!!
The receptionist got us a bigger room the next day as small compensation for the misery of no water and endless noise from the football team.
WIFI is free and good signal.
Breakfast is adequate...just!
Location is pretty good though and access to town centre.

My husband and I had taken the ferry from Hirtshals to Kristiansand and arrived at mid-night. The hotel was easy to find and the night clerk was very efficient, getting us checked in very quickly. The room was average size, a little dark, no AC but there was a fan which was good to have. After breakfast the next morning we walked around town. Kristiansand is a very nice town to visit. However, if you stay longer than one night, I think you should look for another hotel. One good point for the hotel is that it has a parking garage right next door to the hotel.
