This is truley a beautiful hotel, but it lacks something.. Unlike it's sister hotel "Norefjell SPA-resort", this hotel does not got its own disco or pub, which means that you will be dancing around in the lobby after midnight...and If you just want to relax, you also have to sit here- so..this is something they should update! The hotel is also a bit small if you are staying a whole weekend here, with no golf, boat, or sightseeing- there just is not that much to do. Over to the good sides: Great service, beautiful rooms, amazing SPA department- wonderful views, and great food. A place to take your boyfriend for a weekend!:) Party all night in style and get beautiful nature as a bonus? Go for Norefjell :)!

I'm actually writing this in the middle of my stay here, but couldn't wait to rave about this hotel. The hotel was simply amazing right from the start (incredible views, unbelievable service, unbeatable layout and design), but after a couple of hours in our room, they realized there'd been a mixup and double booked the room. To compensate for the "inconvenience," they automatically upgraded us to a suite. This is, hands down, the most amazing suite I have ever been in: private balcony with outdoor seating for six out the front (with views overlooking the town and the water) and a back door leading directly onto the golf course in the back. We have a full kitchen and a chair hanging from the ceiling in the living room. The design and feel of the whole place is like nothing I've ever seen before: relaxing colors, clean Scandinavian design, and a practical layout. Clean beyond belief. To top it all off, the food at the hotel has been amazing, and I practically could have kissed the guy who came to help me move to the other room, he was so charming. All of this and I haven't even made it down to the spa and pool yet, though headed there now. I have no idea what that experience would do to this review, since it's over the top anyway, so it's better this review is pre-spa. :)

As an travel agency employee I get discounted rates at some hotels.
My stay at Quality Spa & Resort in Kragerø was discounted.

The location is outside the city of Kragerø, with a great view of the coastline.
We stayed in one of the smallest rooms (ca 12 m2) I've ever stayed in, with the only window towards the walkway to the rooms. To get some sense of privacy, the curtains had to be closed.

The pool/spa area is small, with a couple of different saunas, a heated pool, and two whirlpools. Children are allowed, so there's not much tranquility..

All in all I was not impressed with the resort, and was glad I was only there for the accommodation, not for a weekend spa-break.

My rate for value is an average 3 points, but that is only because of my discounted rate.

Incredible view and sceneary, stayed here while attending a wedding, however the wedding celebration were somewhat spoiled due to a lack of sleep because the rooms were so hot at night, and extremely poorly ventilated. The rooms were small, and expensive. Especially when we all had trouble getting more than 2-3 hours sleep at night. We had a pre-wedding meet in the bar friday, to get to know each other and the bar closed at 24.
