Stayed here for two nights in Oct. 2011 - work-related, alone in room. The location is fantastic with panoramic view of the fjord. The rooms could need a brush-up though, but you can live with the some-what worn rooms due to the fab view. My room was spacious and bright, but I also think I had one of the more expensive rooms. Ask for a portable lamp if you're planning on working, as the lighting above the desk is partly dim. What really makes this hotel stand out, however, is (in addition to the vista) the excellent service. An over-all "yes"-attitude to all my requests, and they were quite a few. The food is good as well. Excellent breakfast, with plenty of ecological choice (try the Røros-butter), gluten-free cereal etc. Not too many choices on the menu for lunch and dinner, but really good quality on what is on offer. Fantastic Fish Soup!
