Arrived here after driving on 2 of the most scenic but hair raising roads. The Troll Road and the road down into Geiranger. Hair pin bends, long drops and wonderful views. Our room was gob smacking, a suite. The lounge had a large flat screened television which we discovered rotated round into the bedroom. You could also watch it whilst lying in the bath with the the window into the lounge open? The views were fantastic. The only draw back was sleeping with window open and the noise of the river opposite was deafing as it was crashing over the rocks. Swimming pool was nice but a bit small, no one else in. Public areas were well kept and nicely decorated. The lounge area was large with numerous comfortable sofas.

The hotel had big bedroom with a large bathroom and good shower. The garden view rooms were quiet (no road noise) and cheaper. The beds were firm, but the curtains were not dark enough for us. THe breakfast was excellent.

Its an easy drive to the tourist area on the fjord or a quite steep walk. Free parking at the hotel and its not hard to find free parking at the tourist area.
