You get what you pay for? Having said that, the quality for the price seemed fine though I stayed in a private with a private in-room bathroom, just for 1 night for a late evening arrival. The location was very near to the main Oslo station which was the main reason for staying here. It's very basic but by Oslo standards, cheap. (Which is still expensive). You must make your own beds though the bedding was clean. After traveling a bit, I would have considered staying here again if it weren't fully booked. I imagine for a few days it would get depressing though, but again, for the price, it's reasonable.
