Rooms - 'compact' but have everything that you need, are clean and well looked after.

Staff - did everything right but could have smiled a bit more

Location - a 10 minute stroll from the train station, 15 minutes from the bus station. There was some noise from the street during the night as people went to and from pubs but nothing too major

Breakfast - very good selection and good quality

Stayed her one night in November. Loved the wonderful bed, the nice bathroom and the breakfast. Staff was friendly. Nice quiet atmosphere in the hotel. The only drawback for us was that we had our room directly above the hotels delivery entrance, and this was quite noisy in the morning when the hotels laundry etc was picked up by large trucks. Not much to do about that probably. The hotel is great, and I would highly recommend it. And I haven’t even mentioned the location yet; the location is perfect. Very central, and in the right area in Oslo.

staff is exceptional, very professional, helpful, go the extra mile. room was very clean and with everything I needed. 5-10min walking from main station but still in a street off the main road. close to everything. breakfast was delicious and well organized. I would recommend it to singles or couples. no large groups cause this would ruin its quiet quality!

Prime location: right in the (nice and very secure) center and most places are within walking distances (very close to public transportation for the lazy).

As I was alone, my room was large enough for me but as a couple, it could be a bit too small (acceptable though if I get a nice discounted price).

The staff at the reception is nice and helpful.
Free coffee or tea at any time in the lobby. This latter is nice and large and comfortable, with a large TV screen.

WIFI connection working OK on the 5th floor (though I had to try a few other available networks as the one recommended didn't work first hand -- worked most of the time later though).

Nice to still have smoking rooms (bad for me, I know...).

Excellent buffet breakfast:
- hot: eggs sunny-side-up topped with bacon crisps, small hot small sausages, hot beans, omelet, small potatoes, (sometimes) fish terrine balls,
- cold: choice of excellent fresh breads and (sometimes) croissanterie, nice choices of jam and cheese, nice choice of fish (smoked salmon, several sorts of prepared fishes, many spread stuffs typically from Norway), very large choice of cereals.
- fresh: vegetables (carrots, celery, cucumber, red beet, pickles, salad etc.), fruits (pineapple, water melons, melons, oranges etc), fruit cocktails

Housekeeping is well done but, as I'm environment conscious, I'd have appreciated if they didn't replace my towels when I don't put them on the floor (asking for replacement). I expected something "earth friendlier" from a Scandinavian country (many Mediterranean hotels do that already from quite some time).

I'd have appreciated more international TV channels (instead of a mere 15 channels) as nowadays it's not a big deal for them to contract with a cable distribution company to provide 50+ channels.

Anyway, I highly recommend everyone to stay there and check on the booking sites (booking.com for ex.) for good deals (cheaper than their rack rates) and I’ll stay there again if I can get such nice price.
