The room was nice and clean. Renowated bathroom.
I had a singel room with a queen sized bed.
There was some renovating work at the hotel, but it was told you by check-in and it was from 10 in the morning till 18 in the evening.
The service was very good, handed in some clothes and got them back the day after, nice and clean. I also had much stuff with me, and all was carried to my room, and from my room into the taxi.

A good old one, this is service like it shold be all over the world.

The service was terrible.. We had problems with our reservation and the staff was very rude.

Beside, the hotel is not clean as it should be and there are many rooms too old. Even the refurbished ones have old bathrooms.

I don't recommend at all!

I stayed here in Summer 2011 as part of a business meeting. I was given a standard room on an interior airshaft. The room was incredibly small with dated furnishings, and it received almost no light whatsoever. It was equivalent to a 2-start hotel room in the United States.

My colleagues who stayed in suites and rooms with a view, however, had a much more enjoyable experience. It's hard to beat the location, and if you have a view, it will undoubtedly be great.

The rooftop bar was relaxing and quite enjoyable.

I would not stay here on my next visit to Oslo.

We stayed in Grand Hotel Oslo from December 27-30, 2011. The hotel location is excelent. We stayed at the "ladies floor", a floor with pictures of notable Norwegian women. The room was not as good as we expected but was OK. The bathroom was a bit small and the bathroom was not separate from the shower, but in general was OK. The problem was that the elevator did not stop exactly on the floor. We had to walk a long way and go up some stairs. And the room was very warm even though we put the air conditioning (and not the heater) on. The breakfast was excelent, great food, with many varieties, from U.S. style to scandinavian style. In sum, it was a good price benefit.
