The hotel was not very special. Inside it looked a bit scruffy and old with small rooms.
The staff at the desk was very helpful though. And there was free interenet access which worked well. The location was good.

Everything in Oslo is expensive, very expensive. So at an objective level nothing can be described as good value.
However within those constraints, and bearing in mind that if I had been left any longer in my microscopic room, complaints could have been made to European Court of Human Rights, the Savoy Hotel was not bad.
When I checked in I could see the sympathy on the face if the very helpful girl at check in when she saw my room number. However the hotel did have a very pleasant and spacious residents lounge at the very top of the building where there were buffet snacks available in the early evening. If you weren't starving this was adequate for an evening meal.
Breakfast was included and was very good.

Super Helpful at reception with maps and finding places for us. Room was clean and the twin beds were super comfortable! The ensuite was very compact but it did the job well. The hotel includes a buffet in the evening which we enjoyed very much with soups and Pastas with salads rice and chicken. Not having a kettle in the room was not a problem as the room in the loft has tea and coffee making facitlities so you can have a cappuccino in your room rather than instant which was great! The only thing we didnt rate was the cooked breakfast as the eggs, beans and sausages were stone cold both days so i guess that is about timing or which chef is working. The rest was delicious with croissants and fresh fruits and yoghurts, meats and cheeses. Loved Oslo too and walked to the folk museum from the hotel which was the highlight. Very pleased we chose this hotel!

Stayed 2 nights while visiting Oslo for meetings at Fornebu. The hotel is quite cramped but the room was clean and adequet. Helpfull and friendly staff and a nice breakfast. Will use again when I need a hotel in Central Oslo
