We stayed here for two nights in late December, and were very pleased. The location is great - you can walk to the train station, the nobel prize center, the opera house, karl johansgate, the fort, etc. The room was clean and a decent size and the bed was comfortable - though a little too soft until we took off the pillowtop. It was also very quiet - when we checked in they asked us if we wanted a view, or a quiet room, which I really appreciated.
The breakfast blew our minds! eggs, bacon, beans, 4 kinds of bread, cold cuts, cheeses, vegetables, coffee, tea, and a couple kinds of juice. Also they make delicious little danish-y pastries which are mostly hot, since they are in such high demand. Our room cost about $120 US, which given that Oslo recently was named the world's most expensive city, seemed very reasonable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even gave us recommendations to a brewpub.
