I have become a regular guest at this hotel, and there are three important reasons for this.
1) The staff is ALWAYS very helpful and friendly - you always get a smile and the best possible service. What about the handwritten message I use to find in the room welcoming me personaly back, and wishing me all the best for this stay? And along with the message, a small chockolade or other snacks? One evening I even got an upgrade to the penthouse suite and could enjoy eenie meenie to select which of the three bedroms would be best!
2) The rooms are large and comfy and with a "home" feeling that is great when you travel a lot. The furniture is of good quality and designware. The bath is warm and the shower is great. The views from the top floors are really great!
3) The location is perfect with walking distance to the airport express train and Oslo center.

Location is OK and cleanliness good but service variable and rooms poor. Beds very bad and they even admitted it!!

VERY friendly reception. Room large, but the bedroom area had very little light: only lights were from reading lights. TV had no English speaking channels. No exercise room. Breakfast had nice selection, but the food was luke warm at best (cold eggs!).

The elevators (2) have one button to signal up or down. Meaning, I'm on the 5th floor and want to go down: an elevator appears that is going up, so I wait until the doors shut, and hit the button again; now the second elevator appears, only going up, so I do the same thing. And what happens? The first elevator appears again, and again going up! Solution: get on the first elevator that appears, even if it's going up! What a waste of time and inconvenience.

The heat is very difficult to control, meaning it's either too hot or too cold.

The bathroom sink has no room for toiletries.

The shower is actually one of the best I've found in Europe.

The sitting area is very nice and comfortable.

While there is no closet to hang clothes, the two hooks that are provided are sufficient.

There is no dressing table to store clothes, but there are drawers by the refrigerator, which work okay.

The refrigerator is large and roomy.

It could be much better than it is.

This hotel is well situated, the interior is quite modern and rooms are great. We had a superior room with a view over the harbour and opera house, plenty of space and a nice balcony. The breakfast was excellent and a good starter for the day, which was also a real moneysaver giving the absurd food pricing in Oslo. The location was good, only a few minutes walk from major attractions. The staff was friendly and service minded.
I cannot think of anything negative about this hotel...except for the slow elevator maybe :-)
