The room was so small it was difficult to open a normal size suitcase. There was a coffee machine in the lobby, but when I asked for cream or milk, the clerk simply said "We don't have it." When I went looking for breakfast, they informed us "We don't have breakfast, you have to pre-order it the night before." But when I checked in the night before, no one mentioned that breakfast had to be pre-ordered. In a country where breakfast is a usual part of any hotel stay, you would have thought some one would inform you if they operate more like an upscale youth hostel. The room was very clean, but the 'couldn't care less' attitude of the clerks and the lack of normal amenities makes this one to avoid unless you are looking for bare bones in a decent location.

We stayed for one night at the hotel. The room was small, but enough for a short stay. We only paid AU$90, which is cheap in Norway. It is a nice basic hotel which offers to basics you need. I would recommend for anyone who is only staying a few nights especially at such a low price!

Overall this is great value in what is a notoriously expensive city. Rooms are clean and modern with flat screen tv on the bedroom wall with English stations. Checked in on the self service check in computers, and was approached by one of the friendly staff checking if we needed any assistance, and generally making conversation about where we were from and why we'd come to Norway. Location is central and there are numerous restaurants about.

Would definitely stay here again.

We were looking for something simple and central located for our short trip to Oslo and Comfort Xpress turned to be a perfect choice. Clean, simple and really close to everything (shops, restaurants and the station within walking distance). And all this for a very affordable price.
We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel (preferred to get something in the city) so I cannot say much about it but the nice thing was a coffee machine in the lobby, where you could get your free coffee on the way, if you're in hurry :)
Free WIFI was available in the hotel and very friendly stuff gave us useful tips where to go for a dinner.
