Me and my friend had a stopover in Narvik on our way north in Norway.
Our first impression of the hotel was "Wow, the painting is falling down from the outside walls!". Inside the reception, we got very good service from the woman working there - and when we got into the room we both thought "Wow, this room has not changed since 1965!".
The room was clean and functioning, but very very old. The same about the bathroom; clean and functioning - but very very old.
The worst thing was trying to sleep. We visited Narvik during summer, so we had to sleep with open window. Our room was facing to the street (E6), and all night there were cars and trucks passing by, making a lot of noise. There was also noise from the railway further away, and a few times during the night I woke up from the bells from the railway .
We had a pleasant breakfast.
