The hotel was made of wood and quite homey. Wireless internet in the rooms was free and breakfast buffet was ok, too. The young woman at the reception was friendly. On the other hand, the building was getting a bit old and the rooms (at least mine) were quite worn. Still, the the price of the accomodation is quite high even by Nordic standards, but after all, everything is ridiculously expensive in Norway... The hotel is high up in the mountainside (No view from my room, though) so it's a steep walk up to the hotel (but not so long one, since Narvik is a very small city). A ski lift, that is running in summer, too, is just next to the hotel and a ride up to the mountain is really worth the crowns. I think for skiers the place is ideal.

Because we went too far on our driving trip (one cannot travel to the end of Lufoten and back in one day!), we were obliged to stay away for one night of our booked time. Of course, we payed for both hotels and I expected to. But when we got back to Narvik, after spending one night in Narvik and one night away, we found that our rooms hadn't been done! So they had not been done for two days! Not very impressive...
And don't eat there. Food terrible. The best place in town is Pepe's Pizza.
But it is ideally located for the ski slopes...
