I have stayed here at least 4 times per year between 3 and 5 night for the last 5 years while on assignments in Lillehammer. The location is excellent with everything in the "city" within walking distance. The buses for the ski resorts stop just outside. I stay in a single room (which is the same as a double room). The beds are narrow but very comfortable. You have a small TV and free WiFi (that has not been working very good lately and the ability to fix the problem seems to be lacking). The new rooms are very nice and the new kitchen area is more functional than the old one even if the cupboards are a bit empty - don't expect a lot of cooking utensils and porcelain. The staff is great and very helpful and the breakfast buffet is very decent but don't expect any warm food except the coffee an hot chocolate.
