Spent one night on 23 may, needed to change rooms as bulb in shower/wet room was broken however this was no problem and another identical, small but comfy enough room was provided with gentle humour and apology from desk staff. Free and fast wireless in room - ask for password when you check in. Free parking in front of hotel which is just north of the art museum - ask for a ticket to display on windscreen. Had dinner in hotel which turned out to be really expensive but food was good. We were the only people drinking wine in the place no surprise when you consider cheapest bottle of red was equivalent of £46. Only other food on offer in vicinity of hotel seemed to be pizza or pasta. Breakfast was great - a really fresh and delicious cold selection of fish, meat, cheese, eggs, bread, fruits, cereals, salads, juices and hot drinks. Also hot buffet - never seen meatballs on breakfast menu but you could have them and chilli sausages if you fancied them with your omelette and your 'eggs n bacon' Norse style! For 60NKR you could make up a packed lunch too. Wind whistled through the hotel all night but we did have windows open and we also wear earplugs so we didn't mind the noise but if you were very sensitive or a light sleeper then this may bother you?

The good ones :
Great location in Lillehammers main pedestrian street
Free wifi working really well
Great breakfast
Good size of room (a double at the 4th floor)
Quiet room, despite beeing in a main street

The bad things:
Needs renovation - furniture, carpets aso show wear and tear
The bathroom didn`t look clean, but when having a closer look it was mainly caused by cracked tiles, crack in the bathtub.

Everywhere you stay in Norway will seem expensive for what you get, and this hotel is no different. However, you couldn't have a better location downtown and the breakfast was really worth it, including make your own waffles. The room was the typical spare Nordic style without beauty (although I thought the curtains were pretty). The bathroom was clean. Free parking came with the room but it was a fight to get a spot because the hotel was full.

Hmm, yeah I might be a bit harsh, but seriously, the room I had was incredibly tiny... True it was cheap for Norway (110 Euros), but it does not make it acceptable.

Positive thing though... I had actually forgot some valuables in the room, the hotel called to confirm my address, and send them back to me. Very nice gesture for which I am thankful, but I would not have expected less of the staff. And it still does not make up for the tiny room...
