The hotel is centrally located in Drammen, close to the railway station. The hotel is not obvious when exiting, so check a map first.
The property has seen better times. It seems to have been renovated in the late 1980s, everything going steadily downhill from there. It was clean everywhere (expect the windows, which were covered in grime), but the bathroom had an awful smell.
Room was somewhat small. Power outlets were inconveniently located. TV was old and had a flickering image, remote did not work (even after changing batteries). Two lamp shades were damaged. Bed was somewhat narrow but OK. Floors very worn, furniture cheap, unfomfortable and worn.
Bathroom was disappointing. Wash basin faucet sprayed water everywhere. Shower head is fixed to the wall at a height most people would have to bend to get under it. And what was the smell? A dead cat somewhere?
Staff friendly, but the one who checked me in barely spoke Norwegian and directed me the wrong way to my room. Corridors are maze-like.
Meals were quite good, but missed fresh fruit.
Would not choose this hotel again until the property is renovated.
