First thing. This is not a five star hotel, compared to other five-stars in Vienna it is a four-star. Second (grumbles first - suggests the lasting impression) if you like trams, then from five in the morning, every five minutes, you will love this hotel. Third, the rooms are not close to sound proof, my noisy neighbour kept me awake until 0130. Four, the air-con nicely piped the smell of cigarettes around the rooms. Five, the air-con, you can't control it from your room and its too warm, so open the window then refer to grumble two (trams). Six, one inadequate pillow - the complimentary bathrobe was put to use.... Positives - One, the staff were very attentive, Two, the bar is good for Vienna (average for London) - as long as you like cigarette smoke... Three the decor is nice. Four breakfasts good - but not five-star.
Would I stay there again. No. It strikes me as odd that this is the simplest question a hotel could ask its departing guests, and never do.
