This is a hotel really deserving its four stars, little away from the city centre, but near the University, the Lichtenstein and the Freud museums. Ideal for a business trip. Although I booked a single room, my room resembled rather a suite ( an advantage of travelling off-seasons?). The free w-lan and a proper writing table were very much appreciated. The bathroom was elegant, modern and clean, with a separate WC. The complimentary toiletry of good quality. The personnel at the concierge is very friendly. But the real highlight is breakfast, which can compete with a five star hotel. There is such a great variety of fresh (not packaged or industrially produced) savouries, pastries, cakes, fruits, salads, cheese, ham, etc. that you think you are at a reception. I stayed four days, which I really enjoyed. On the whole very good value for money and a pleasant experience.

This hotel is mainly a business one but it suited us for a stay of 7 nights for a holdiay to Vienna. It is in the university/medical area about 30 minutes walk from the centre but is well served by the excellent streetcar (tram) system. Breakfasts were included and this was very extensive and set us up well for the day, everything from fresh fruit, cold meats, cheese, cakes as well as the usual cooked stuff. The staff we encountered spoke excellent English and were very helpful with advise about getting about and tickets. We had 2 complaints. We were initially allocated a smoking room and this was very smelly. They could not offer another room that night but next dayour bags were taken to another which was much nicer. There are 2 non smoking floors but even so there was always the smell of stale tobacco smoke in the corridor and even in the lounge/reception area which was non-smoking as well. The other complaint was the poor quality pillows. We asked for more twice but did not get them. We managed by using other things in the room. Even though it was quite full we never saw many other people around especially British and that suited us just fine as we wanted to experience the Austrian way of life. This we found to be very clean, friendly and cultured. A great city to visit as a tourist.

this hotel is too far, too small, and the front desk staff is not helpful. stay in town where you can walk to the sites. the price, however, is good so if price is your guide, may be ok. long walk to town.

I was here only for two nights - nothing special, quite OK. Their taxi service to the airport is a good deal. Food is good. Asked for other pillow, response was that they never heard before of such weird request (and did not have another pillow).
