Located in a residential park district, this hotel is built besides a petit
Palais (now a conference facility) and has a nice garden.
Yet walking distance to tram is 5 minutes, and it takes 7 stops of pleasant
ride and view to be at downtown Vienna (Opera House).

Large and comfortable rooms and baths with all amenities.
We specially enjoyed its first-class buffet breakfast and delicious viennoiserie.

Room tip: All rooms are peaceful, either overlooking the garden or the dead-end front street.

In a quiet cul de sac out of city centre of the city yet close to trams/buses/underground to reach most places. Our room (standard) was a reasonable size and bright. Large bathroom with bathtub as well as shower and lots of toiletries. Breakfast spread was unbelievably huge and varied and offered everything for all tastes. - Staff were friendly, helpful and eager. The only "problem" for me was that on the first floor where we were the windows didn't open so I felt the lack of fresh air. Although there are a couple of restaurants close by, the choice of "nightlife" is rather limited but as we were in the centre until late most nights, this did not pose any major problem for us. Would recommend to everybody who wants a quiet refuge in the big city.

Room tip: Maybe a room at the back would offer a view on to the spectacular garden

We stayed at Strudlhof between the 15th and 18th of August. Vienna was our first stop on our first-ever trip to Europe. Lovely location on a quiet street, close to tram and underground stations. We had a room on the upper floor - it was cramped because of the sloping roof and pillars on either side of the small room. Great breakfast (even for vegetarians like us) in a spacious restaurant which unfortunately only served breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Although they boast of a terrace with a view, it is no more than a narrow strip of space with one or two chairs. I would recommend Strudlhof if you are not looking for luxury, but only for a clean, quiet and efficient hotel while you spend the best part of the day sightseeing.

Room tip: Do not take an upper floor room with sloping roof if you like unobstructed space

I got a 30 sqm room for about 85€ which is really a nice price, taking into account the good location (at a short walking distance from the older part of the city), clear, quiet and rather good breakfast. The rooms still looked renovated. Nice bathroom.

This hotel was a very nice choice for us. It is quite close to the Rathaus (city hall) of Vienna. In addition, our bedroom was really huge, breakfast was the best and people on the hotel is very kind, helpfull and extremelly polite!

And, the price was very good! We would repeat at this hotel if we come back to Vienna!
