I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Novotel. The hotel is just across the river from the main city and only 2 minutes walk from Nestroyplatz U-Bahn station.
I booked a package through the Accor website which included a Vienna Card and entry to the Belvedere Palace. Upon check in the receptionist had run out of vouchers for the Belvedere Palace and offered me a voucher for the Schönbrunn Palace instead. As I had particularly wanted to visit the Belvedere Palace he told me to come back to reception the next day as they may have some more vouchers. When I returned from my first day out I found a voucher for the Belvedere Palace waiting for me in my room on the bed. I thought this was an excellent piece of customer service as it saved me from having to go to the reception desk and explain the situation.
The hotel room was spacious and very comfortable. There were tea and coffee facilities and a minibar, as well as free Wi-Fi which had a very strong signal. The only down point was the annoying menu system on the TV that you had to go through to watch normal TV channels! That said; there are plenty of in-room entertainment channels so this will be a plus for some people.
Breakfast was very comprehensive with plenty of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, breads, meats, cheeses, a large selection of hot food and also cakes.
I have been to Vienna many times and this hotel is probably the best that I have stayed in. I would definitely recommend this hotel and the Novotel brand to everyone.
