We stayed at this hotel for a few nights. The non smoking room was pleasant, however, it was located very near to the smoking rooms, so the smell could not be avoided when going up to the room. We had asked for a quiet location and were given a room looking out over the courtyard on the back of the hotel. On Friday and Saturday night we realized that this was perhaps a mistake, because the students in the appartment building behind the hotel had decided to celebrate from midnight till around six in the morning, with extremely loud music accompanied by useless shouting. The noise was absolutely unbearable, so I called the reception to ask whether they could do something about it. The next morning I complained at the desk, and the lady tried to repair some of the damage done in a very friendly way. All I can say is hopefully the hotel management can do something that will definitively solve this problem with their noisy neighbours, because it made my stay extremely uncomfortable.
The lady at the reception tried to solve the problem for us, so I can say the staff is friendly enough. Breakfast is reasonably good, and though some of the youthful staff do not seem to qualify for communication with guests, in all they perform reasonably well. The music during breakfast does not suit the morning atmosphere, though, and was probably chosen to uplift the spirits of the working youths more than that of the relaxing guests trying to enjoy their morning coffee in a quiet place.
So if you are in for a loud atmosphere, with cheap design and young people, this is definitely your hotel. A big plus: location close to the underground station Gasometer, and within 10 minutes you are in the centre of Vienna. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, friendly staff.

thank you for your time to write an evaluation of your stay in our hotel. As you have written a very critical feedback to your stay in our hotel we would like to take the chance to deliver our opinion as well.
First we would like to mention that your complaint about noisy neighbours had taken place on Saturday evening for about one hour, not on both evenings from midnight until 6 o’clock in the morning as you have written in your statement. As you have informed us on Sunday morning you have immediately called our reception desk after recognizing the noise and our colleague reacted right in a minute and contacted the neighbours for stopping their get-together, which they did within an appropriate time period.
On Sunday morning, after making your complaint and already telling us you would write a bad evaluation on Tripadvisor, our Front Office Manager tried to apologize and to give you a compensation for your dissatisfaction.
We fulfilled two wishes from your side and really hoped to make you feel happier afterwards.
Therefore we are very surprised about such negative words after fulfilling your compensation wishes and doing our best to make the rest of your stay as comfortable as possible.
As we have not received any other complain that night we also feel sorry that such a short incident made you feel so uncomfortable and negative about our hotel.
We really feel sorry that you didn’t enjoy your stay in our hotel as well as our hotel concept and furniture obviously does not suite your taste.
We assure that our furniture is well selected from our interior designer and is not cheap, as well as our team and our music is consciously elected to fit in our ”roomz world”.
Of course we want to thank you for having the time to mention the positive sides of your stay as well. The roomz team wishes you all the best and hopes that you and your company had a nice time in Vienna tough!
