“good hotel but very hectic at the morning”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

the hotel is located nearly westbahnhof so the shopping area is not far away and a couple of casinos or shady bars.

the best way from the airport is the airport bus to westbahnhof

the rooms are nice, especially the suites on the 7 th floor.
tv is not a flatscreen but paytv and wifi are available for extra charge

the showers are in the middle of the room, so keep that in mind if sharing a room with a friend or colleague or someone whom you dont want to see naked. last tiime the room was quite, but some rooms are noisy that are located on the main road.

the bar is nice with a good variety of wines from Austria. the prices are a bit high as always in a business hotel. My schnitzel was okay (in vienna you can get better and larger (and worse) ones). the burger of a friend was not eatable " just a chunk of meat". but they tried to apologize and brought dessert.

breakfast variety is okay for a 4 star hotel, except the waiters are so busy running around cleaning tables. they did not bother at all what we want to drink. we had to stand up and catch them to ask for a coffee. self- service filter coffee in the corner (where the hot water for tee was ) was terrible. the coffee issue at breakfast and the hectic in the morning is the most annoying part in the hotel.

Room Tip: rooms in the higher floors, >*20 avoid rooms to the main road

“Ideally located close to all transport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

A very professionally run hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff. The room was spotless, and the shower provided some entertainment!

The restaurant is very good, and the breakfast was great, got us going for the rest of the day.
The location is not particularly attractive, but the hotel is very convenient for access by public transport to all parts of Vienna

“Good, professional hotel.”

Very nice, professionally run hotel. Good rooms, and whilst the showers can be a cause of comedy, the beds are more of problem. Didn't like the two single mattresses pushed together, and so shifted to another room with a queens size that was absolutely fine. Bar is excellent, and for once not cripplingly overpriced, and I ate a couple of times in the restaurant, which was very good. Lots of small touches about the place: apples to eat everywhere, leibekuken in the room, and free soft drinks in the mini bar and Internet for a slightly higher room rate (well worth it). They lent me an umbrella when it was raining, and gave helful advice about how to get to places. Position is ok, great for getting to the airport, and public transport in Vienna is excellent, so no hassle to take the tram or metro, both very close.

“Lovely for a City Break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

We stayed at this hotel for a short city break between Christmas and New Year. The hotel is spotless and we found the reception and bar staff very accommodating. The hotel is well situated close to the station for the hotel bus, city tram and underground all of which are
very easy to use.
Tips that might help the next traveller:
1 Ask for more pillows, immediately upon arrival.
2 The rooms are very warm but the windows open which is nice.
3 Bathrobes are available upon request but not provided in your room as standard.
4 The breakfast is excellent with a selection of complimentary newspapers available.
Thanks to the team at the hotel who made our stay very enjoyable.

Room Tip: Our room 336 was lovely, quiet and very clean we would recommend this room.

“Solid, but not a good choice for wheelchair users”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

The hotel is centrally located right near the Westbahnhoff (Vienna's main railway station). The neighborhood is slightly seedy in that there are a few sex shops around and it's not the most beautiful part of town, but in no way menacing or dangerous. Being near Westbahnhoff meant easy access to trains, buses, the metro and the airport shuttle.

The hotel itself is modern and the front desk is helpful and efficient. Unfortunately, the rooms don't live up to the 4* quality projected on the website and lobby, particularly the hotel's sole room that is adapted for wheelchair users. The furniture and carpet were kind of dreary and the TV was a super old school tube, not the modern LCD you would expect at such an establishment. The bigger problem was that nowhere on the website or Hotels.com (which we booked through), does the hotel disclose that the handicapped room is actually a single room and only has a twin bed for one person, which is a big problem if you're not flying solo. The front desk arranged a cot for my mother, which was quite small and not suitable for an adult. The real bed was rock hard and not comfortable at all either. The first night was truly hellish. What the room did have was a spacious bathroom with great grab rails and a roll-in shower. The roll-in shower was a little oddly proportioned, the shower seat was a bit too high, which caused my legs to dangle and I'm 5'7", and the floor was way too slick making it dangerous to move about without using up most of the room's towels to line the floor!

To the hotel's credit, the young man at the desk was quite sympathetic and solved the problem by giving us the adjoining twin room so we could have the beds we booked, while still being able to access the accessible bathroom and shower. This was a fine solution and allowed us to more comfortably enjoy the rest of our stay, but had the adjoining room already been occupied by other guests, this would have been impossible and our entire stay would have been a nightmare. The hotel should really reconsider how they list and book their adapted room.

The room rate we booked included the breakfast buffet and this was a true highlight of our stay at Fleming's. The selection was varied and everything is delicious. While some staff was a bit sluggish at getting coffee when asked, overall we had pretty good service here and were treated very well by all of the buffet employees (even said coffee slowpoke!).
